Main

Nagra is a Swiss cooperative company founded by the Swiss producers of radioactive waste. It was established under Swiss law, which stipulates that the producers of nuclear waste must also ensure its safe and sustainable disposal. It has been chosen to use geological disposal and as such, it operates research sites to assess the implications of this solution. As part of its partnership with the Asclepios project, Nagra has agreed to host the Asclepios I mission on its Grimsel Test Site.

The Association of the Municipalities of Crans-Montana (ACCM) is an association of public law, whose members are communes. In the case of the ACCM, the 3 members are the municipalities of Crans-Montana, Icogne and Lens.

Regarding the Asclepios project, the service for the economical promotion has helped organize a workshop in extreme environment lead by french polar explorer Alban Michon for the training of the astronauts. They also have offered us a financial support.

EPFL Space Center (eSpace) is an interdisciplinary unit responsible for the federation of space and drone activities at EPFL. Specifically, eSpace is coordinating space education at EPFL, developing state of the art nano-satellites, and fostering space research on campus.

Space Innovation, formerly the Swiss Space Center, contributes to the implementation of the Swiss Space Policy.
It provides a service supporting institutions, academia and industries to access space missions and related applications and promote interactions between these stakeholders.

The CDH coordinates the Social and Human Sciences (SHS) program, that concerns every EPFL students. The Digital Humanities Institute offers a Master in Digital Humanities, and is linked to the Digital Humanities Doctoral Program. The Institute for Area and Global Studies offers a Minor in Science, Technology and Area Studies, as well as semester projects abroad.

Skyguide provides air navigation services for Switzerland and certain adjacent parts of neighbouring countries. With its 1500 employees at 14 locations in Switzerland, the company guides some 1.2 million civil and military flights a year safely and efficiently through Europe’s most complex airspace.

Swiss Polar Institute is a consortium of swiss universities which regroups EPFL, Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL, ETH Zurich and the University of Bern.

Their objective is to measure and quantify the impact of the climate change and the pollution in the polar areas.

Maxon develops and builds electric drives that pack some real power. Their DC motors are leading the industry worldwide. They are used wherever the requirements are high and engineers cannot afford compromises: maxon motors drive NASA’s Mars rovers. Maxon helped us financing our project and are also providing parts for our rover and our spacesuits.

Grimsel Hydro is the label of KWO (Kraftwerke Oberhasli AG), under which the external services of the Technology Center for Hydraulic Power are offered. The exploitation of hydropower in the Grimsel and Susten region began in 1925 with the founding of KWO. An impressive hydroelectric complex with 8 reservoirs and 10 power stations was built in several stages, producing electricity for one million people. Grimsel Hydro helped us financing our project and provide us with on site support for the mission.

Serco specialise in the delivery of essential public services, with over 50,000 people working in defence, transport, justice, immigration, healthcare and other citizen services across four regions: UK & Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and Middle East.

Silver
Saint-Sulpice, a commune by the side of the Leman lake and next to Lausanne, agreed to lend us a shed to store our equipment.

The Mars Society Switzerland, a Swiss member of the Mars Society family, is dedicated to the promotion of crewed missions to Mars and the access of man to this world. It is interested in everything that is necessary to achieve this goal and fully supports the Asclepios project, which it sees as an intelligent and effective contribution to faster progress.

 

Logitech offered us some technological devices for the crew of analogue astronauts, the Mission Control Center, and the communication between them.

 

In line with the project’s desire to provide a sustainable framework for these missions, Planted supplies vegetable chicken for astronauts’ diets. Planted offers
delicious, nutritious, sustainable, and juicy meats made entirely from plants.

 

In line with the project’s desire to provide a sustainable framework for its missions, Naanu provides its cookies to ensure a sufficient supply of nutrients in the astronauts’ diet because they contain the daily amounts of Vitamin B12, Vitamin D and Omega 3, and are high in Calcium, Iron, Zinc, Fibre and more. The contribution of the sports department to the project resides in lending the equipment necessary for the astronauts’ daily workout during the Asclepios missions and the crew’s training.

Céline Renaud, specialist in public speaking, has given more than 3000 conferences/shows in this domain. While mastering five languages she is a self-entrepeureneur combining motivation, art, innovation and sustainability which made her win numerous awards such as one of the 20 women of influence in Switzerland. Her passion for music, nature and people enable her to construct rich courses in public speaking for thos who require it.

nw consulting was founded in 2010 by Nicola Winzenried after several years working in international organisations and an executive Masters in Intercultural Communication. Nicola has extensive experience in training global teams and developing global leadership and management programmes. She also assists individuals and families with their international assignments in Switzerland and all over the world. Nicola will give a leadership training to our crew.
The Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences SATW is the most important network of experts for engineering sciences in Switzerland. The network is comprised of selected individual members, member organisations and experts. SATW helped us financing our project and wil collaborate with our communication team in order to realise videos and events.
LABELEDBY. has created a unique portfolio encompassing fabric development, trend research and textile inspiration that explore the boundaries of state of the art fabric innovation. They are designing the one-of-a-kind spacesuits of our astronauts.
Solenix is an international company providing engineering and consulting services in the space market. They provide us with Uberlog, a software that our astronauts and MCC will use during the mission.

 

ARP is an E-commerce company offering its customers a wide range of IT hardware, software, services and complete solutions.
ARP contributes to the Asclepios mission by providing us with hardware for our Mission Control Center and base.
The municipality of Guttannen in the canton of Bern will host the Mission Control Center (MCC) of Asclepios I. The municipality will provide us with the MCC infrastructure and accomodation of Mcc members
Bronze
Airthings designs Radon and air quality sensors to provide a safe environment to families and companies. Airthings helps the mission by providing two AirWave Plus sensors and a hub to monitor the air quality inside the base.
HE Space is an international contracting services company dedicated to the space sector. They support the space business by matching their needs with available space talents. HE Space helped us to finance our project and will organize a workshop with our members to improve their CVs.

 

Fracture System Ltd is an R&D company focusing on flow and transports of fluids (gas, water) in rocks for radioactive waste disposal. They are working with Nagra and have activities in Switzerland, UK and Sweden.

 

Stadler Form designs aesthetic and practical domestic appliances for air treatment. They contribute to the mission by providing air purifiers and heaters for the base.
Swiss Made Spiruline sells  spiruline grown in the canton of Vaud. They contribute to the mission by providing some of their products for our astronauts’ diet and the Mission Control Center’s members.
