Mission Asclepios
In Lausanne, a group of highly enterprising young people have decided to undertake a truly ambitious project. They want to organise an analogue space mission simulating a lunar colony. For a whole year, director Patrik Soergel followed the development of the Asclepios mission. Their aim is to simulate a lunar base in the old military fortress of Sasso San Gottardo. To be able to run a functioning control centre and manage a team of six astronauts ready to face a period of isolation, the Asclepios team undergo a long and arduous preparation process: extreme physical and psychological endurance training, medical tests and group tasks. For months on end, in their spare time, they work hard to be ready for the Gotthard. Will they succeed in their endeavour?
