Our missions are opportunities for students from various educational backgrounds to gain experience in the field of human spaceflight and operations. Our Asclepios astronauts go through a year-long training process modelled after the training activities of ESA and NASA astronauts.

The Role of Astronauts

Asclepios astronauts will spend about two weeks in isolation inside a simulated lunar base during the summer of 2026. They will carry out various scientific and engineering experiments proposed by Principal Investigators from universities, student projects, companies, and labs around the world. In addition to scientific research, Asclepios astronauts perform various operational simulation tasks such as Extravehicular Activities.

The Selection Process

CV and Motivational Letter evaluation.

English proficency (C1), motivation, and medical certificates.

Intensive online exam. Verbal reasoning, visual memory, cognitive skills, math, and logic puzzles.

Rigorous in-person tests. Social intelligence, crew dynamics, teamwork skills, and high stress endurance.

Requirements

  • Being a student when applying, and during the following academic year (Any academic level is acceptable, Bachelor, Master and PhD).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (C1).
  • Good physical/health conditions.
    Certificates will be requested during the recruitment process.
  • A blank criminal record.

  • Excellent social and communication skills.
  • Availability for the summer your mission will take place in.
